There is a term for wordless writing: Asemic. It is the shadow of language, when the “stuff” called meaning has been dispensed with. Much like gestural art, the non-specificity of Asemic writing allows the reader to fill it with their own meaning. As a bilingual person, it allows me to express without being constrained by the rules of any language.
